Restaurants

Dining in NYC can be an adventure within itself.  There is any number of cuisines at different price ranges in different neighborhoods.  The options and choices are mind boggling!  It would be impossible (unless you're Zagat) to review and maintain recommendations on all the restaurants available.

Here's what we can do for you.

First, because of technology/internet, we can make reservations for you at almost any restaurant in NYC.  That's the easy part.  Choosing where you want to eat is the most difficult part.  Keep in mind, that in NYC contemporary casual dining can cost a bit more than at home.  And expensive dining can be dig well into the wallet.

Second, we recommend restaurants in the theatre district, especially, if you are seeing a Broadway show that evening.  These establishments are particularly sensitive to the needs of theatregoers; your server should always try to get your dinner to you and, you to the theatre, in a timely manner.  You will also be able to get to the theatre and avoid traffic jams, full taxicabs, and crowds of tourist marching in all directions.  If you have an evening without a production, you may very well choose to explore other neighborhoods (Chinatown, Chelsea, The Village, Little Italy, Upper Westside, Central Park East, Tribeca, Soho, etc.).

It is impossible to monitor every New York City restaurant.

In order to assist visitors to NYC, we have developed reference lists of theatre district restaurants.  We can share and discuss these materials with you.

Finally, some visitors, especially 'non-foodies', don't want to plan their dining experiences.  Let us assure you, there are numerous opportunities for casual dining to very, very casual eating.  From street corner carts (hot dogs, giant pretzels, Jamaican meatpies, etc.), to ethnic delicatessens, to Italian pizzerias, to Korean groceries with their giant hot and cold salad bars, NYC has many opportunities to eat well and save money.  Perhaps, least interesting, but convenient, the NYC theatre district does offer all the usual fast food opportunities like back home.
